Be careful, there is also a Widdecombe in Stokenham Parish......for
years I thought the Widdecombe on my ancestors census records refered to
the North Devon Widecombe (which didn't make much sense....). I finally
obtained a good Ordanance Survey Map and found Widdecombe in Stokenham
parish.....there was also a farm named Widwell nearby.
