I am new to this list and am hoping someone may be able to help me.

I have traced an Emma DANIELS to the Plymouth area. Emma was the daughter
of John DANIELS a Blacksmith.
Emma was born about 1865 and married Martin CUNNINGTON a Petty Officer in
the Royal Navy. They were married at Plymouth Registry office in 1889.
Emma's address was given as 27 Ilbert Street and Martin's as 26 King
Gardens.
Can anyone tell me more about Emma DANIELS or her family? Can anyone
suggest why they were married in a Registry Office? Does anyone know
anything about the addresses mentioned?
If so I would be most grateful to hear from you.
