Hi Pat
I have been trying to mail you off list, but the mail keeps bouncing!
I have had another look at your family and I am almost sure that the
Robens from Melcombe Regis Dorset are yours.
If you compare them with the 1891 from your researcher you will see that
the names and dates are the same. John born 1831 on both. Jane's year
is only a year out. Mary J and M.J. are the same and Lucy is the same.
On the 1881 there was a George who could have been the witness to the
wedding. John says he was born in Ted burn St Mary on the 1881, I think
that is very close to Exeter.
