Best wishes to all Devon researchers.

I've only had a couple of years experience - I've followed, but never entered such a discussion before. I know, there's nothing worse than minor problems that "perpetuate".
This list has always been one that has stood above the rest. No petty squabbling - just a group of us with a interest in common giving help where we can, & direction for those that may need a little "prodding".
It seems to me that Brian Randall has always been there, pleasantly giving that direction, when readily accessible information has not been utilised. No-one has ever been scolded or berated - simply, led gently in the right direction.
If we're not here to help each other & new subscribers become too intimidated to post a query
- then what is the point of such a list?
Please don't let us allow things to change!

The reaction to Dilys query has been the catalyst -
Prior to this, because of lack of experience - (translation - in case I make some horrendous mistake!) - I've been hesitant to offer look-ups. I have short-term access to NSW BDM indexes, & would be more than willing to do look-ups for those who genuinely have no access to such records.

Regards

Jan
