Hi Niki Two small settlements coalesced, Hardness on the N and Clifton on
the S, to make up Dartmouth. These settlements were originally separated by
a deep pool, Mill Pool, which ran well back inland and was filled at high
tide. This pool has been filled and provides the only flat land in
Dartmouth. This tidal pool drove two tide mills. I cannot find any reference
to Watergriest nor to any other Mills in Dartmouth so I can only assume that
this is the location of the mill you are after. Perhaps someone familiar
with the history of Dartmouth could comment. Hope this helps David
