Hello Barry,

I am interested in the Fortescues in connection with one of my Northmore
families in Cornwood.

Matthew Fortescue Northmore was born in 1807 son of James Northmore and
Frances Winifred Tinkham who were married in Cornwood in 1806. This lady
inherited the estates of Matthew Fortescue who had left them to his widow.
Who she was I don't know, but she died in 1799, and left the estates to
Frances Tingcombe (above) who died without issue. She left the estates to
her brother Thomas' daughter Frances - she who married James Northmore. All
this info. came from a document in the British Museum Library which I looked
at myself a few years ago.

Can you throw any light on these people at all?
