Hi all,

I am still researching Matthew POWER, but in passing am curious about the
area(s) in which both his family and Thomas POWER (his son) lived. In 1839
when Thomas married Elizabeth Jeffery (12/08/1839; Stoke Damerel) he lived
at 31 Cannon Street and Elizabeth at 37 Princess Street. And in the 1851
Census they lived at 16 Jubilee Street Plymouth (Charles Martyr) whilst
Thomas' mother Elizabeth was visiting friends at 6 North Street (Charles
Martyr). What sort of buildings were (are?) these. Timber or brick. Houses
or flats. I am still waiting for the 1841 Census film (microfiche?) to come
from LDS so I can find out if the Cannon Street address is Matthew's home
address. Naturally he will be at sea again! As was Thomas for the past
twenty years that I have been looking. However, every thing appears to be
coming together now. I have recently located two relatives that come from
two other sons' of Thomas, so here's hoping we find this elusive Matthew.
eh.
