Hello BOWEN cousins everywhere.
I am trying to sort out the BOWENs of Ilfracombe and Barnstaple in
Devon, England between about 1740 and 1810.
A)Edward BOWEN married Jane JONES in Barnstaple in Oct 1747
Their children include: Edward b 1752, Ilfracombe
Edward b 1759, Ilfracombe
Richard b 1761, Ifracombe
(This Richard became a very successful Naval Captain in Nelson's fleet.)
B)William BOWEN married Elizabeth ? about 1796 in Ilfracombe
Their children include: William BOWEN b 1801, Barnstaple
Elizabeth BOWEN b 1804, Barnstaple
(This Elizabeth is my g grandmother)

Can anyone help with information linking these families?

There is also:
William BOWEN b 1756 in Ilfracombe with father Thomas BOWEN and mother
Eleanor; and,
William BOWEN b 1762 in Ilfracombe with father James William BOWEN and
mother Susanna.
Any help in sorting and linking all these BOWENs, and adding others,
would be *very* welcome.
