I sent for the death certificate of a John Wotton buried in Ashfield,
Sydney, Australia & it is not my line. There is a headstone for him & his
wife. Will give the details in case anyone is looking for a record of him
in England:
John Wotton
Occupation: Carpenter
Died 4th December 1896 at Ashfield.
Age: 93 years 11 months
Buried: St. John's C. of E., Ashfield
Father: John Wotton, a gardener
Mother: Not known
Where born: Devonshire, England
Time in colony/NSW: About 60 years in New South Wales (Aust.)
Two wives:
Ann Gearin (married her at age 40)
Issue:John, aged 51, living
2nd: Mary Johnston (married her at age 48)
Issue: Sabina 43, Eliza 42 living none deceased
