I am trying to find information on Richard Card, born c 1618, possibly in
Devon or Dorset, Eng. He was in Newport, Rhode Island in 1648 when his
first son was born and was married to a Rebecca. A man in Canada said he
had a letter (but couldn't produce it) that stated Richard was born in
Devonshire/Dorset 8 Sept 1618 and his father was an Edward Card, born 1565
in Churston Ferrers, Devon, Eng. with his wife being Elizabeth Smith. A
couple of family members would like to have the proof of birth and parents
and any siblings. Is there someone who is researching the Card family that
could help us out. We have a lot of information on some of the Card family
here in the U.S. and Canada (Nova Scotia and Ontario) Stan Card in Tampa,
Florida
