Has anyone out there ever heard of the Battle of Plymouth Fort, fought
during the English Civil War? I can find no reference to it anywhere. My
ancestor, John Worth, was involved in this battle, which cost him and his
son's life. As close as I can determine it, this battle occured sometime
between 1640 and 1642. John Worth was part of the family of Worth's who
lived at Washfield, Devon, but not necessairly living there, so I'm assuming
this battle occurred in Devon. Any help with this would be appreciated.
