Hello,
A little while ago someone was asking the date of the PIGOT DIRECTORY that has
been produced by "Cornwall Online".
According to my sources Pigot produced a directory for Devon in 1823-4, 1824,
1830 and 1840. Under Tavistock it mentions John Peter Grant as MP. He was MP
between 1819 and 1826.
Pigot also produced a "Directory of Cornwall and Devon" in 1822-3 and I think
it most likely that this is the one on 'Cornwall Online' but, as yet, I have no
conclusive proof.
