Hi,
Looking for ancestor and descenant info on:
Charles Besly Gribble, b. Barnstable, Devon, about 1810-1815, son of
Captain ? Gribble; grad. Christ's College, Cambridge-BA 1839, MA 1847;
died 25 Jul 1878 on voyage to England. Missionary at Lake Erie, Canada
1841, at Dumville 1842. P.C. of St. Paul's, Whitechapel (Mariners'
Church), 1847-1858, and Chaplain to Sailors' Home and Destitute Sailors'
Assylum, 1847. Chaplain to H.M. Embassy at Constantinople 1858-1878,
Canon of Gibralter 1875-78.

He married aft 1841, Catherine Jackson, b. abt. 1811, Little Eppleton,
Co. Durham, daughter of Capt. James G. Jackson of the HEIC and Harriot
Goodchild, Pallion, Co. Durham.

Had 2 children (at least), Theodore G. Gribble and Harriet Gribble, both
born before 1772.
