I am interested in this family, pre-1683, as my 7th great grandfather John
Stansell sailed to America in Nov. 1683. He was born ca. 1662. Married and
settled in North Carolina, USA, He named his first son, Godfrey. I did find a
1660's "Godfrid" Stansall in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. I'm hoping this "Derby
Godfrid" and my 1683 John were somehow connected. Is my 7th
great-grandfather, John Stansell in your records? I would appreciate any
assistance that you can give me.
