Lois,
I know nothing to help you but I wish to give you one thought about the
Dober surname. When I was working my way through the Church Registers of
almost every town from Ooos southward to Appenweier and Oberkirch which
includes your towns I realized that an individual had entered into the IGI
many of the people I had found in my family search.
My guess...or, at least, my hope...had been that my family and their related
feminine lines were less than secondary to that individual and that a much
closer and more exact effort was done for the direct family. In other
words, I found many, many errors. Those listings seemed to be less
genealogical and more to a religious desire.
That prime line which I hope was more exact was a Dober line. My thought is
that if you use any Dober information from the IGI, double check it, triple
check it, quadruple it, keep on checking the information until you can
confirm the names, the dates, the locations and the rites.
