Joseph Mabry Depew, who married Armelda Burris, was the son of James
Depew, b. 1784; d. 9/19/1846, while moving to Iowa, and Susannah Cox.
They were married on 12/22/1813, Washington Co., Tennessee. They had the
following children.
Dorcas, b. 1818
Sarah, b. 1819
Elizabeth, b. 1822
John J., b. 1826
Winifred, b. 1828
Isaac Levi, b. 1830
Elbert Bowman, b. 1833
Joseph Mabry, b. 1834
Martha, b. 1837
I have no info on Armelda Burris but do have John Mabry's line back to
Walter Depew, who was apparently living in England. Walter's son, John,
was born in England and came to America (New Jersey) in 1748. He
subsequently moved to Virginia with his family, including son Isaac, who
was born in Middlesex, NJ. Isaac's son, James, was the father of John
Mabry. I can give you further info on these lines if interested.
Any info you can give me on the Depew or Burris families would be greatly
appreciated.
Best regards. Bob Flynn
