Hey Martin,
Thanks a bunch! Once my husband figured out how to make the map big enough
to read, I found the house across the street from where I was looking!
Cool!

Hey there
May I guess his name was Niels Mortensen Quist ?
At the top menu, chose Geddes Kvarterkort, then chose Rosenborg, and look in
the address list to the left, and the map to the right !
And then find the real house on the 3D map !
Very interesting site this - even more than I realised yesterday !!
You can actually save the maps after opening them, and create an incredible
census record of Copenhagen in 1757, though only with the head of the house.
In how many censuses can you see your ancestor name, and then see the house
marked on a map right next to the name list !
I'm a very happy Danish taxpayer today and hope all of you appreciate the
Danish taxpayers are giving this away for free ;-)
Take care
Martin

Dear Martin,
I found the map of Copenhagen in 1760 to be fascinating! Can you help me
find Lille Brøndstræde 161?
Sorry about the little print. I copied it from an old email in a different
font. According to my information, it was near Gothersgade. My husband's
ancestor owned the house there about 1760. I would like to point it out to
him on the map, but I can't locate the right place.

Hey there,
I haven't been much online / on the list lately, so I'm not sure if this has
been mentioned previously, but those of you with an interest in Copenhagen
in the late 1700's will find the maps on this website interesting:
http://www.kbh1761.dk/
It's in Danish only
Try the 3D annimation of the city hall in 1761 at the bottom right
(Københavns Rådhus 1761)
