Deed. 10-Dec-1769. William Robinson of Brandywine Hundred in Co. of New
Castle, yeoman, and Martha his wife, for the sum of 155 pounds sold
unto James McCorkell of same place, Taylor [sic] a tract of land
containing 45 acres, situate in sd Hd. and Co.. It bounds the lands of
Issac Grubb, WILLIAM TALLEY, John Grubb and sd Robinson. This is part
of a plantation that sd Robinson was seized of by virtue of an Indenture
dated 6 May last, by Lydia Gurbb and Richard Baker, exec's.
Mortgage. June 1 1772. Samuel Tally [sic] of Brandywine Hundred in Co.
of New Castle, yeoman, for better securing payment of herein debt and
further 5 shillings, grant unto John Foulk of Bethel Twsp. in Co. of
Chester in Prov. of Penn. a plantation tract of land containing 125
acres, situate in sd Hundred and Co. It bounds the land of Samuel
Stewart, land sd Talley sold to his nephew WILLIAM TALLEY and lands of
Joseph Grubb and Richard Sanderson. This is property that sd Talley
became seized of by virtue of an Indenture dated 14 May 1760 (Lib/T
pp/279) from Thomas Hyam (part of the Penn. Land Co. in London). This
is whereas sd Samuel Tally [sic] by Obligation even date stands bound to
John Foulk in the sum of 200 pounds; conditioned for payment of 100
pounds w/interest on 1 June next. John Evans and/or David Finney
Attys. (On 25-Mar-1794 appeared John Foulk and ack. full satisfaction
before Ja. Booth.)
Deed. 6 8th mo 1766. Luloff Peterson of Brandywine Hundred in Co. of New
Castle, yeoman and Mary his wife, for the sum of 90 pounds sold unto
Charles Robinson of same Hd. and Co., yeoman, a parcel of marsh
containing 6 acres situate in sd Hd. & Co. It bounds the marshes of
Joseph Morton and WILLIAM TALLEY.
Deed. 23 May 1770. Samuel Tally of Brandywine Hundred in Co. of New
Castle, yeoman, and Margaret his wife, for the sum of 160 pounds sold
unto WILLIAM TALLY, son of Thomas Tally, Jr., late of sd Hd., yeoman,
dec'd, a parcel of land containing 50 acres, situate in sd Hd. & Co. It
bounds the lands of sd Samuel Tally, Richard Saunderson and Samuel
Stuart. This is part of a tract containing 175 acres that sd Samuel
Tally was seized of by virtue of an Indenture dated 14 May 1760.

of New Castle, yeoman, of one part and Samuel Grubb of same place,
yeoman, of other part. This is whreas sd Tally and sd Grubb became
seized of t wo pieces of marsh situate in sd Hun. and Co. containing 10
acres, by virtue of an indenture dated 1 10th mo 1756 from Lulop
Peterson, yeoman, and Mary his wife. Marsh amicably divided. Sd
Tally's share bounds marshes of sd Peterson, Joseph Morton, Samuel
Milner and Edward Beeson. Signed: Wm Tally. Wit: Edward Beeson. Joseph

Deed: 14 Nov 1771. WILLIAM TALLY of Brandywine Hundred in County of New
Castle, yeoman, and Magdalen his wife, for the sum of 65 pounds sold
unto Joseph Cloud of same place, yeoman, the remaining moiety of herein
described piece of marsh containing 3-1/2 acres. This is part of of a
tract of marsh containing 7 acres that sd Tally was seized of by virtue
of an indenture dated 17 May 1760 from William Bradford of the City of
Philaldelphia, sadler. It was situate on Shelpot and Islands Creek
[Shellpot Creek], in sd Hundred and Co., part of Vertreddy [Vertridge]
Hook of Cherry Island Marsh, and bounded the Marsh of William Smith.
Whereas sd Tally and Magdalen his wife, by their indenture dated 10 Nov.
1768, granted the South moiety of sd marsh unto afsd Joseph Cloud. John
Jones and/or Theodore Maurice Attnys. Signed William Tally, Magdalen
Tally (mark). Witness: James Mekever (mark), Jno Stapler. Rec: 23 Nov
