Max,
There was a George Dawkins, Loyalist in South Carolina. He was shot and his
son, George Jr. was exiled to Nova Scotia. Everything was confiscated by the
Whigs and George Jr. came back to try to recover his estate towards the end
of the 1700s. There are a lot of detailed records to back this up. I believe
that it is part of my line but good old Sherman burned every court house in
the area on his march to the sea.
