While I do not have a George Frederick born c. 1839 in my family tree, the names George, Frederick and Edwin are very common first names in my tree.
My DAVIDGE ancestors originated in Somerset and migrated to Bristol via Bath.
Have you looked for your DAVIDGE ancestors in the UK to find out where they emigrated from?
