Hi,

I am a direct descendant of Melinda Damron and her husband James Riley Herald, Jr. through their son Virgil Herald who was killed in the coal mines of WVA. I am putting together a family history book for my family as Christmas presents and am trying to get as much info as possible. Right now I'm focusing on any direct civil war vets in the family although any info you could give me would greatly appreciated on Melinda Damron. I have her parents as Samuel and Eveline Damron.
