Milton Wesley Damron's daughter was Louisa Catherine Damron (16 Aug 1856, Salado, Bell Co., TX-18 Jan 1904, Salado, Bell Co., TX). She married James Herman Aiken 16 Sep 1874. They had six children. Note that his brother, John Shultz Damron, named a son after him: Milton Wesley Damron (1864-1953).
"Josh W Damron" in the 1860 census with George W. Damron must be his brother, born in 1841 (MO). He married Margaret P. Freeman in 1862 in UT. (If you examine an image of the census entry of "Josh. W." it will be seen that the "h" in "Josh" is raised creating a usual abbreviated form for Josiah. If the "h" is not raised "Josh." would normally indicate Joshua. Descendants report his name to be Joseph Warren Damron. So, I'm not sure just what to think of this.) I can't place the older "Cathe" in that census entry.
Joseph Warren Damron, son of John Shultz Damron, was born 22 Sep 1857 (Texas) and died 16 May 1929 (California).
Hulda (Huldah) Majors Damron is mentioned in the will of Capt. John Damron when he lists his children. She also appears in the family Bible registry pages.

Most descendants of Moses Damron and Aggy Owl use the spelling DAMRON although a few reverted to DAMERON. Capt. John is most likely a son of Moses although this has not been documented. Circumstantial evidence seems to support that he is.
There were two early Damrons that I know of who lived in Bell County, Texas, (where I was born and raised): Milton Wesley Damron (son of John Damron & Sarah Elizabeth Shultz) and John Norval Damron (son of John Thomas Damron & Sarah Ann Winneford) . Milton was the first Bell County Tax Assessor and Collector, John was followed him in that office.
