Hi Betty,

Yes, about message boards--someone has to request one and be in charge of it
in order for them to set one up--all the lists and message boards are
requested by individuals who then maintain them as "list owners" or, as I
choose to call it "list hosts". I requested and maintain the Damourville
list, but as there has never been much activity on the list, there seemed to
be no reason to try to maintain a message board as well. All the emails to
the list are available to anyone thru the Rootsweb Archives--that seemed
adequate to me! I think you're the first person other than myself to post to
the list!

About Magdalene... As I indicated, I am descended from the Magdalene who
married Jeremiah Rust.
Her father was SAMUEL Damourville (or Damourvell) whose wife I only know as
Hannah (she may be a Cox-I have some speculation on that line but no proof).
Samuel, born 1670-79 per LDS records, was from France. He and Hannah are
believed to have 3 children--Magdalene, Samuel and Elizabeth. He died circa
1723 in Westmoreland Co, VA. Hannah died ca 1744 in Westmo also.
MAGDALENE Damourville (my ancestor) was born 1690-99 (again per LDS records)
and married Jeremiah RUST in Westmoreland Co, VA before 1715? The date is a
guess based on the birth of their daughter, Hannah Rust who is my ancestor
also... Hannah was born 1713-1715 in Cople Parish, Westmoreland Co, VA. I
don't know any other children of Jeremiah and Magdalene. Magdalene died ca
1766/7 in Westmoreland Co.

This is pretty much all I have on this family right now. I lost a lot of
records when my last computer died and I haven't worked on this ine in a long
time. Currently, my internet provider is unavailable--they filed for
bankruptcy and my screen just goes blank! I can still write and receive
mail, but can't search the web at all---aaarrggh!! There are many places
online to look for these folks--I just can't get to 'em right now!

Please let me know what your line is... Is this your Magdalene? I can fill
you in a little on the Rusts, too, but you may want to join the Rust List if
you haven't already. (Maybe the Cox Lst as well.) And be sure to check the
archives for that list to see what info has already been posted. Good luck!
Now you've got me interested again! Wish I could get on the web!

Maybe I'll dig out some old paper records and see if I have anything more on
this group... Please sned me your conection to Magdalene via the list?

thanks,
Cyndi in Baltimore
