HI and how are you ? My name is Ray Parker and I have been looking for
info on the names of my ancestors..VRTACEK , ROKOS , WACKOVA / VACKOVA
all from PRAGUE
Joseph VRTACEK born ca 1843 , married (date unknown )Anna ROKOS born ca
1845 ,parents Joseph ROKOS and Elizabeth WACKOVA . the parents of JOSEPH
VRTACEK are unknown at this time.

They came to the USA about 1870 lived in NY and in Killingworth , CT.

Is there any way that you could put in contact with your friend so that
he may help me with reasearch there in Prague. I would pay him for time
and records .

Hi Karla !

Well I have fwded your e mail to a freind, who has a freind in Praha that
might be of help,
I hope. He is a Genealogy hobbyist and a Professor too, I believe so maybe he
can point you in the right direction.
As far as birth records for Praha, PRIOR to 1900, you would want to know the
Church and then check the Archive in Chodovec P-8., the Statni Obaslni Archiv
( the one up front, on the street)
As far as this century... im not sure, maybe someone else or in Czechia can
help you.
I would post your request to the " Czech L " list... its much more active
than this one and there are Listers there who are in Czechia.
