Did any of the rest of you have a "pet" snake when you where growing up down
home. We had a black snake that my aunt would not let us kill she believed
that black snakes kept other snakes away and the snake knew it!!! He would
sun himself on the front steps on cool days and we knew we had to leave him
along. In the winter he would go to the "celler" and stay in the potatoe bin
when we went to get potatoes he would sometimes move alittle but most times
he wouldn't even move at all. I was always the one elected to go get the
potatoes because I wasn't afraid of "Ol Blackie" We really missed him when
he disappeared one day I'm sure he died. Brenda in Florida
