Found this in the Decatur Review of Decatur, IL on July 20, 1922 (this is not
my line that I know of). Notice the nephew's name, they call him Ray at the
beginning and then later called him Roy.
Frank Coventry dies in Findlay
Findlay, IL July 20 - Frank L. Coventry died Monday night of heart failure. He
had worked hard all day and eaten a hearty supper. In the night, his wife
heard him breating with great effort and tried to rouse him but failed. She
then went to call his nephew, Ray Graham, who was living with them and they
reached his bedside in time to see him breathe his last.
Mr. Coventry was born March 16, 1881, in Mercer Co., Illinois. He was a son of
the late William and Almira Coventry and is survived by three brothers: A.P.
Coventry of Findlay, Emmerson Coventry of Sullivan, and Charles Coventry of
Assumption and one sister, Mrs. Sarah Graham of Findlay, Illinois. One
sister, Rachel, died in infancy. Two brothers, John W. Coventry and James
Coventry preceded him in death.
On Dec 31st, 1903, he was united in marriage to Miss Myrtle Oburn. To this
union, two children were born: Clarence, age 18, and Ethel, a few years
younger, both residing at home. The wife and children also survive him. His
nephew, Roy Graham, has lived with him for 17 or 18 years and was like a son.
Mr. Coventry moved to the vacinity of Prairie Home when he was about one year
old and grew to manhood, married, and reared a family in this locality. He was
one of the most substantial citizens of his community and his going is
regretted by the entire community.
The funeral was conducted at the family home by Rev. J. D. Reed, pastor of the
Prairie Home church until recently, now living in Bethany. The burial was in
Findlay cemetery.
