I am searching for the FINCH - TRETHEWEY- COVENTRY ancestors of my maternal
grandmother, Nina Florence Finch, b. 15 Dec. 1880 in Perham, Otter Trail
Co., MN. Her father was John Wesley Finch, b.c. 1839 possibly in Middlesex
Co., Eng. His father was supposedly Sir Percival Finch, and he supposedly
had a brother named Sir Oliver Finch, neither of which are listed in
various references to knights in England!

According to my grandmother's historical novel of the Finch family, the
Finches came from Glenhaven (sic) England, a location I do not believe even
existed!

John Wesley Finch m. c. 1864 (in Ontonagon, Michigan or Canada) Elizabeth
Ann Trethewey who was christened 10 Jun 1850 in Roche, Cornwall, Eng. (the
daughter of William and Elizabeth (COVENTRY) Trethewey) who he met on the
boat coming across to St Johns, New Brunswick or Halifax, Nova Scotia.
William Trethewey was a hard rock miner from Cornwall, and the family is
well documented in the LDS's IGI.

John and Elizabeth Finch's children include:
May Finch, b.c. 1872;
Maud Finch, b.c. 1874;
Percy Finch, b.c. 1876;
Lily Finch, b.c. 1878;
Nina Florence "Fanny" Finch, b. 15 Dec. 1880, who was my grandmother. She
m. 18 June 1901 in Duluth, MN, William Richard Fisher.
