Subject: [COVENTRY-L] WWI names...from the listowner
Date: Thu, 13 Aug 1998 10:45:56 PDT
As some of you are aware now, I am an avid user of Ancestry Hometown and
when I find something useful to the lists, I let all y'all know. Today
was the first time I had used it this week and in their free database
section, they have a database of WWI civilian draft records. I looked
on it and I found records for all the surname lists I own so here is the
break dow BTW: I checked as many spelling variations when I remembered
SURNAME: # RECORDS:
Barringer 3
Black 404
Bradford 111
Coventry 3
Eller 41 (forgot to check variations..)
Hackett 67 (forgot to check variations..)
Kern total 88
KERN: 42
KEARN: 4
KEARNS: 30
KARNS: 4
KARN: 7
CARN: 1
The address if you don't already know is at:
http://www.ancestry.com/ancestry/search.asp
I would like to suggest that y'all bookmark the site and visit it at
least once a week because they are constantly updating the free
databases and also the databases are free for only 10 days. If you're
interested in the WWI database, I'd check it ASAP because I don't know
how much longer it will be there. Good luck:)
