Subject: [COVENTRY-L] i'm moving/word of the week....from the listowner
Date: Thu, 21 May 1998 14:04:01
Hello lists:) I want to tell all of you I am going to be moving to
Raleigh, North Carolina to go to school and I will be leaving June 2nd. I
have people to take over my lists temporarily and I expect all of you to
treat them as you do me:) I should only be gone a few weeks at the most, I
just need to get settled down in Raleigh and look for a job and find the
computer labs on campus as I will not have a computer because I have to
leave it for my little brother or pay a very large shipping charge and with
this crappy computer, it's not worth it:) I will still be subscribed to my
lists, you can write if you have questions or suggestions, but if they are
an emergency, you need to send them to the temporary list owners and I will
give those addresses to each list individually next week. The word of the
week program will not continue while I am gone most likely unless the
temporary listowners decide to continue it on, but don't count on it:) I
will email more info next weekend. Good luck to you. Here are this week's
words:
BARRINGER: Paul
BLACK: Ohio
BRADFORD: Jefferson County (any state)
COVENTRY: Illinois
ELLER: George
HACKETT: Military ancestors (I will do this one for the other lists later:)
KERN(S): Simeon
Instructions: I'll make this short:
1. send your posts to: where the name of the list
(above) replaces SURNAME. Do NOT send them to me, do not just hit reply.
2. please make your subject line more than just "word of the week: Ohio" or
something. Tell who it is concerning. If Peter Black is the begining
ancestor for that line, in the 1700's and there were there through 1880,
(just an example), make the subject Peter Black OH 1700's-1880 or Perry
Co., OH 1700's-1880. for BRADFORD, maybe Jefferson Co., TN 1800s, Hackett
maybe Peter Hackett VA Rev. War.
I think these rules are simple enough so please follow these. Please note
that if you would like to post your line but it does not fall under the
"word of the week", you are more than welcome to still post and the same
rules still apply:) Good luck everyone.
