For those of you who have access to the www, I would like to suggest that
you pay a visit to Ancestry, Inc. Their main page is located at
http://www.ancestry.com/ but the page I really recommend is their
searchable databases. Some are free for a 10 day period, and others you
have to pay $4.95 a month for unlimited searches. The address for their
databases is http://www.ancestry.com/ancestry/searhc.asp It is well worth
the visit. And from my Bradford, Hackett and Black lists, go ASAP and
look search their "Historical Register and Dictionary of US Army
1789-1903. There are 5 Hacketts, about 25 Bradfords, and and about 25
Blacks listed in this database, yours may be there. This is a free
database, but only for about 8 more days. They add new databases every
day too. So stop by:)
