died Apr 27, 1899 at Jacksonville, Florida
married Ada Barham in Southampton Co, Jarratt's Station,
Virginia about 1864.
children:
2 died young
Catherine or Katie born 1865, grew up and died in Richmond, VA
William H. Prince Cottrell born 1872; mar and lived in Jacksonville,
Florida. Living in Tallahasse, Florida in 1902.

Catharine or Kate Knollin b Sandy Creek 1866; d in Oakland, Nebraska
in 1900 at childbirth; wife of Eugene Harding.
Mary or Mate Ilona Knollin b Ellisburg, NY in 1868; mar Mack D.
Leaming at DeCatur, Neb in 1896. Their children were:
Ilona Leaming b 1898, Earle Leaming b 1900 and
Willis Leaming b 1902.

died 1921
married Elizabeth Marie Thompson (b 1846, d 1917)
at Clayton NY May 26, 1867
James K. P. Cottrell enlisted as Private Co. B 7th NY Cavalry,
honorably discharged March 31, 1862. Enlisted in Co. C 110th NY
Vol, was private, sergeant, 2nd Lieutanant and 1st Lieut. Co.
C. 100th NY Infantry, discharged Aug 28, 1865 in command of
company at Albany, NY. He was in charge of Veterans Pensions
at Albany, NY 1897-1921.

CHARLES WILLIAM COTTRELL (8)
born in Sandy Creek, NY Jan 19, 1846
died in Shelby, Iowa October 1883
he was on Union side in Civil War. Private and Saddler Co. A & I,
10th NY Cavalry from July 18, 1863 to July 31, 1865- when
honorably discharged.
married Olive Cox at Sandy Creek in 1869
children:
Minnie born in Shelby, Iowa
Ilona born in Shelby, Iowa; widow and two daughters were living in
Omaha, Neb in 1902.
