Dear Sandy
Excellent idea. I'll use it as an excuse to properly update my interests:
BREWER - Liskeard/Lanivet/Luxulyan area - all stayed
TRATHEN - St Blazey/Penryn - most stayed. Gordon Cornelius TRATHEN
(1897-1967) and James TRATHEN (1896-1980) emigrated to Pennsylvania and Ohio
respectively after World War I (about 1918/1919), both were single men, one
married a Truro girl he met in the US and the other also married (but I don't
know her origins yet); their father James Martin TRATHEN went to South Africa
(leaving wife and family behind) some time around 1900 and died there in 1907.
DUMBLE - St Neot/Menheniot/Liskeard - all stayed
JULEFF - St Clements (Truro) - stayed except Samuel (1855-1912) emigrated with
wife and children to New Zealand 1880s
TRELOAR - Helston/Wendron - stayed
BECKERLEG - Gwennap - stayed
DAVEY - St Blazey/Camborne - wish I knew!! Possibly James Davey (b approx
1835 d before 1871 may have gone away, and died abroad, possibly Mexico or
South America).
I hope this assists.
