Boskednan is in GULVAL parish and the farm is still there quite near to Carfury where the famous Lutey triplets were born. It is quite an isolated place high up near to the Nine Maidens stone circle and not far from the Men an Tol which is an ancient stone with a hole in it that is supposed to have curing powers for bad backs.
To cure the bad back you have to be naked on mid-summer's eve and crawl through the hole going from the north side for 12 times at midnight.
Also quite close is the famous Ding Dong mine and Lanyon Quoit which Anne saw last week. The quoits are ancient burial places about 4000, yes four thousand years old which is early bronze age. Wonderful country in the summer.
