This was sent to me on another list. I think it sounds like a wonderful
idea.

As as aid for current and future genealogists, I am launching the
grandparent project. I am asking those who wish to participate to write a
short biography of your grandparents[see footnote 1]. Include full names
and places where ever possible. These biographies will be placed on a
website[2] grouped in the geographical area where they spent the majority
of their lives (with links from other areas and an all-name index).

Send submissions to me at either or

Ethelind Ruth (named for both grandmothers) Wright

footnotes:
1. Grandparents if deceased; if they are living you might want to get
permission before submitting. You can include other relatives if desired
(siblings, spouses, aunts, uncles, parents, great-grandparents).

2. Initially at www.ethelind.com/gparent.html - probably I will ask for a
site at rootsweb and volunteers if this takes off.

3. I will proof for spelling and may edit for length if necessary, but
generally won't make changes to submitted biographies.
