Apparently Cleaton is a deviation of the spelling of Clayton??? Where in
Ohio were/are your Cleatons located?
Our Clayton Family came to Missouri from Wellston, Jackson Co. Ohio in the
19th century. We descend from 1. James Carroll Clayton 2. James Roswell
"Ross" Clayton 3. John C. Clayton. John C. is buried in Bundy-Paine
Cemetery near Wellston, OH.
