My greatgreatgreatgreatgrandfather was Colonel Benjamin KIRKLAND d.b. 6 Apr 1794 in South Carolina he married Winifred ARMSTRONG 3 Apr. 1817 also in South Carolina. They resettled in Southeast Alabama in 1823. Benjamin's
Greatgreatgreatgrandfather was Richard KIRKLAND he was born in 1670 in possibly Scotland, and he died in Fairfax County Va. in 1743. Colonel KIRKLAND had a nephew by the name of Angus. Is there anyone who is doing research on this family. Colonel KIRKLAND'S lines are Caleb, Benjamin, Richard SNOWDEN, Robert, Richard.
