That's because none has been posted since January.
Notice was given that the Manager of this list had gone missing. So I volunteered to take over the job. I was in the process of moving and some things fell through the crack, so I never properly introduced myself.
My name is Gene Phillips. My ancestry is Maxwell, but I haven't traced it back to Scotland. As far back as I have gotten is Lancaster Pennsylvania in the early 1700s. My gggg-gf David Maxwell was born there in 1731. His family came from County Donegal. But this is only according to hearsay. David's granddaughter, Ann Armstrong Maxwell wrote a family history in the late 1700s. It fell into the hands of her granddaughter who thought it would be a good idea to donate it to the Tennessee State Archives. Unfortunately she used the US Post Office to deliver the document, and it got lost in the mail and was never seen again. Most of the family history comes from her recollections of the book.
