The Library of Virginia at http://www.lva.lib.va.us/dlp/index.htm has
electronically digitized a lot of their Virginia State records. The above
site is an INDEX of records available over the Internet and is a starting
point . The Library of Virginia's digitized records means that what is
viewed is a photographic image of the original document, not a
transcription.

If your computer can't read the Library of Virginia's digitized records, the
Library also offers a free download of the software (called "VTLS TIFF
Viewer" on their site) necessary to read the electronically digitized
records (including LAND GRANTS in Virginia at
http://image.vtls.com/collections/LO.html) over the Internet.

(try to read the records first to see if your current software can read the
records before downloading the Library's software).
