Hi Listers,

A good while ago, there was someone on the list who was trying to find out
where the exact location of Okell's Buildings was in Macclesfield. I
estimated that it was somewhere near the junction of Brown Street & Bridge
Street.

Today, I received a copy of the latest Old Macc magazine (courtesy of James
Hough). In there, there is a list of some of the old pubs in Macclesfield.
Lo & behold, the Brewers Arms was in Okell's Buildings. This puts it on the
corner of Bridge Street & Brown Street - right where I estimated it to be!
The Brewers Arms is still going strong.

Am I a good guesser or what 8>). I hope whoever was looking for Okell's
Buildings is still on the list and will spot this message.

For those of you with Macclesfield roots, I can recommend 'Old Macc' it's
full of interesting articles & lots of photos.
