I think we need to require more than simply a DNA submission but I don't
think we should be too rigorous in setting a minimum threshold. But at
least something along the lines of, for instance, my Carters are
concentrated in Appling County, Georgia and surrounding areas and were in
South Carolina before moving to Georgia in the very early 1800s.

Earlier I reviewed some of the archived messages to this list from back in
March to see if I could find a clue as to why Vickie abandoned the project.
I didn't find a clue regarding Vickie but I see that there was a lot of
discussion back in March about only including Kits that submitted family
histories. Personally, I'm baffled by this. I generally prefer *more*
information to *less*. Placing more requirements on participation will only
lead to fewer participants.


But, so long as we have access to *all* of the Kits on the Family Tree DNA
"cookie cutter" site, nothing would be lost by placing requirements on Kits
listed on an auxiliary site -- so I would not have any objection to placing
requirements on being included on a chart on an auxiliary site.
