Precisely why phylogenetic trees give a more comprehensible and accurate
picture of relationships and where to look for MRCA.
When tests are simply listed, someone will always be first.

That is exactly the problem I have with it. There is no genealogical
significance to the first data to be submitted to Vickie over the rest. It
was just random chance as to who got there first.


If the correct profile of a common ancestor could somehow be determined and
then the differences between the descendants and the common ancestor then
that would have meaning. That's not what we have. It's just a matter of
who got there first and who got there second. It's misleading. Why give
greater significance to the first guy to get tested over all the other guys?
