The Historical Society of West Caldwell is sponsoring a tour of the Old
Burying Ground of the First Presbyterian Church at Caldwell, NJ this
Saturday beginning at 1:00pm. There will be a guide and the tour is
free. If interested call Roxanne Douglas, President at 973-226-8976. The
Old Burying Ground is located on Bloomfield Avenue in the center of
Caldwell, and the nearest crossroad is Roseland Avenue. There is parking
on the street and in nearby municipal lots. Family surnames include
Baldwin, Gould, Crane, Van Ness, Dodd, Harrison, Jacobus, Ogden,
Personett, Williams, Francisco- there are onver 500 people known to be
buried there, although many of the stones are missing.
