I am trying to locate more information on my great great uncle George
Davidson, son of James Davidson and Elizabeth Steven.

Born 20 Mar 1836, he was baptized in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church,
Fergus on 15 Jun 1938.

In both the 1851 and 1861 census he was in Nichol Twp., Wellington County
but in 1871 he is listed as a carpenter. Living with him are his widowed
mother Elizabeth Steven Davidson, his widowed sister Elizabeth McGregor and
her children Johnny, James, George and Elizabeth. Next door is his brother
James and family.

According to his tombstone in Beechwood Cemetery, Forest he died 22 Jan
1875. I have not as yet been able to find registration of his death. Any
suggestion?

I have not yet been able to check the Forest newspaper for an obituary.

I was also thinking I might gain some information from Beechwood's burial
records. Who would be my contact for that info?

Would that lead me to the undertaker and possibly more information?

Any help would be much appreciated.
