The only photos taken after death that I have ever seen were of "outlaws" in
their coffins or stacked up on the sidewalk for public display after they
were killed by the lawmen (or vigilantes). There are forensic scientists
who can with the aid of computers "age" a picture based on certain criterion
but I don't know how you would contact one of those. Sorry, can't help.

I have two requests, here is hoping someone out there can/will be able to
help me..#1 was it customary or at least fairly common practice for people
to have their relatives pictures taken after their death in the late 1870's?
Someone out there told me that the Quakers considered having their photos
taken was kind of frivolous and some family member would have it done after
their death..#2 is their anyone that could compare a picture of a younger
couple with a picture of a couple taken perhaps 35 yrs later and tell me
whether they are the same couple?. I am certain of the identity of the older
couple and there is this other picture from a different family member that I
believe to be them also. I will send the photos to your private e-mail
address..
