Nancy,
Great find. Are there other Reform parish books available from the Rhineland? As many of the Swiss Mennonites were forced to be in Germany for decades it is likely that that Pennsylvania Dutch will be found in these books.
I just got back from Trub, Switzerland, and found the Zaugg/Habegger links there. I suspect my ancestor Ulrich Zug of Warwick PA started there but I could not get at the Trub parish records for time. The timing of his arrival in the US in 1724 was right at the height of the Anabaptist persecution in the Berne region. The story of the Swiss anabaptist churches is an interesting one and probably contains a lot of our genes.

For Iris Wilde and other Greib, Cripe genealogists:
Thanks to the information provided by Steffen Buehler, I was able to locate, view and print a copy of the handwritten original record of Jacob GREIB's birth from the Reform Church parish record book of the village of Diedendorf, located in what is now the Bas-Rhin department of northern Alsace in France. The record is in German, but I can decipher the date, his name, and his parents' names, and it all matches what S. Buehler said that French genealogist (and distant cousin of mine) Pierre Balliet and the Alsacian genealogist Albert Girardin had found earlier in the parish records. These parish records have just been made available online as of July of this year. I linked to the website of the Conseil General du Bas-Rhin, then entered the village name of Diedendorf and the pages of the parish record appeared before my eyes. Then it was just a matter of paging through to 1711 to find the date of August 14, 1711 and there it was.
What a thrill.
