I'm looking for my gr gr gr grandmother, a Barbara Burget/Burket (b.
1770's) who married John Ritter, presumably in Bedford Co. in the
1790's. They are listed there in the 1800 census in Bedford/St.
Clair townships, had three children (Sarah, George and Abraham)
before moving to Tuscarawas, Ohio in the 1810's, where they had three
more (John jr., Jacob and Catherine). John Ritter died in about 1826
and Barbara died in the 1830's and their children moved mostly to
Lake Co. and Kosciusko Co., Indiana. Their son George became a
Brethren "preacher," in Tuscarawas so presumably the family was Brethren.
