Heckman researchers,
Does anyone know the current address or can pinpoint the location of the
land on a map where Peter Heckman and son Jacob Heckman and wives lived in
Berks County, Pennsylvania? They are mentioned in the History of Little
Swatara Church of the Brethren 1757-2007.
I hope to visit this fall or next spring and don't have enough information
to determine where they actually lived. I have other ancestors in the area.
I determined the other ancestor's current locations that I plan to visit. I
plan to photograph anything that remains of the Heckman farms in the area.
Even if nothing more than an empty field, woods or modern housing. I assume
nothing has been found for tombstones or memorials, since I have never seen
anyone mention these.
The 2007 history book helped locate my Ziegler and Moyer/Meyer family
locations. Other sources helped with the Kinsey family. I can't figure out
the Heckman locations from what little research I have actually had time to
do.
