A second person elaborated more on this David Long. Just discovered this. He COULD be one of your David's, with Bedford County being just below Huntington County.

David Long was part of the Knox County, Ohio Long family. They had moved there
from Bedford PA. David was the son of John and Susannah (Leedy) Long. John
Long settled in Berlin Township, Knox County about 1815; David later moved to
Pike Township, Knox County, which is just east of Berlin Township.
