Dear Brother Dale,
Several days ago I sent you an E Mail telling you I did receive the wonderful pictures you sent me using your personal E Mailing addess that I had but you must had not recieve it.I have been looking to see if I had any more information as to when Orley Davis passed away but so far I haven't been able to locate anything.Last week as I was relaxing I was looking through some letters and church bullitens I had received since 1950 from The Rev Dan L Blickenstaff who was my Spiritual Dad for many years.As far as I can remember he only mentioned O G Davis once and that was when he wanted to know something about The Burgard Family.Someone must have been trying to write a book about the family.He was so busy in The Church and I was busy working at Sears in Chicago that when we were together there were so little time to talk about the family. He did tell me some things but not a lot.He and his wonderful wife seem never to be in very good health.He had what was called a trick knee that cause him to walk with crutches half of his life.Sometime in 72 after retiring from the ministry he had about five operations on the lower part of his back. After that he was feeling pretty good until in 86? when he and his wife went home to be with the Lord.I still laugh today when I think of the many times he would write to me telling me to save my money instead of purchasing small gifts which I did for them.He even threngthen to spank me several times but he never did.
