John Kessler died 14 Feb 1845 at his daughter's house (Elizabeth, wife
of Nathaniel Burket) in Kosciusko Co IN. He is the son of Elder Ulrich
Kessler, of the Uwharrie Church, Rowan Co NC, where John was born,
1768. His wife was Mary Custer. They moved first to Wilkes Co NC, then
followed the Custer family to Mill Creek, Hamilton Co OH, c1800. They
moved to Dublin IN, where Mary died. John Custer (Mary's father) is
known as an 'Eternal Restorationist' (Pietist Univeralism). Dubliin IN
was a Universalist Conference Center after the National Road went
through - about 1835. A grandson, Samuel Custer, says that most of the
family were Universalists, but Brethren.
Is this B E Kesler of this family?
